Interference Radiation Development System ESA1
It is possible to implement EMC measures even without a radio wave anechoic chamber.
The ESA1 from Langer EMV-Technik is a system designed for circuit designers to address EMC issues. It includes a set of 11 probes (8 magnetic field probes and 3 electric field probes) to quickly implement EMC measures in development systems, systematizing the countermeasure tools. With this, it is possible to conduct EMC measures up to a certain level even without a radio anechoic chamber. By anticipating EMC countermeasures, it allows for concentrated measures towards the goal even in the event of unexpected results. Unlike traditional trial-and-error EMC measures, it enables a methodological approach to countermeasures. Considering the time and effort required to use an external radio anechoic chamber, the ability to respond quickly facilitates smooth progress in development that cannot be delayed. The ESA1 consists of a countermeasure board, shield tent, transformer, bypass, amplifier, and trunk set (with 11 probe antennas and various connector cables). The ESA1 system, which allows for learning while gaining experience in EMC countermeasures, includes equipment that covers all aspects of EMC measures, enabling improvement in countermeasure techniques while actually implementing them, rather than being solely for educational purposes.
